Come join in the fun at Champaign-Urbana’s BUDDY WALK on Saturday, October 9 at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana. Registration will begin at 9:30 in Kessler Hall and the 1 mile walk will begin at approximately 12:00.

This year REGISTRATION IS FREE and includes a free t-shirt!  Please note that you MUST register in order to walk.  You must also register no later than September 15th in order to guarantee a free t-shirt.

Team Information

 

We are excited to unveil our new Buddy Walk online donation web site!  We think this site will be easier for users to register and donate.  You will still be able to create and customize your own team page as well as send out emails, update facebook and twitter, and even add a video!

REGISTRATION
Once again registration for the Buddy Walk® is free!  However, please note that participants MUST register in order to walk.  The preferred method of registering is on-line, but you may register people via our brochure or they may register on the day of the walk.
When you send out your email to friends, family, and coworkers please make sure you explain the difference between  the two buttons at the top of the web site called:   “Register Here” and  “Sponsor Participant”.
Users will click on “Register Here” if they want to attend and walk on the day of the Buddy Walk.   They will be able to register AND donate by clicking on this link.  If users will not be attending the walk but would still like to donate they should click on “Sponsor Participant”.
Please note that if you want to start or join a team as a family please select the “Register Family” option.
T-shirts will only be given out to people who REGISTER for the walk.  Please remind participants that they must register before September 15th in order to be GUARANTEED a t-shirt in the size they requested.  We should still have T-shirts available to hand out on the day of the walk but we cannot guarantee we will have correct sizes for each individual.
Remind your team members to make sure they select your team name when registering.  This way their donation and T-shirts sizes will be linked with your Team
Online registration will close Thursday, October 7th .  Friends and family will still be able to register the day of the Buddy Walk but you can encourage them to register online before October 7th.
T-SHIRTS
Anyone who registers for the walk  before September 15th will be guaranteed a T-shirt in the size they requested.  We will be pulling all T-shirts according to Teams before the day of the Buddy Walk.  We will announce T-shirt pick up times for Team Captains to pick up team T-shirts.  This year all Team Captains MUST pick up their team T-shirts before 9:00 a.m. on the day of the Buddy Walk.  No T-shirts will be handed out to team members who registered before October 9th  at the registration table.  It will be up to the Team Captains to distribute T-shirts to their team mates before or on the morning of the Buddy Walk..
PRIZES
This year we will be giving out prizes for the TOP 3 FUNDRAISING TEAMS!  However, any donations we receive after October 9th will not be counted into your team total.  Again, make sure any donations received has your Team Name associated with it.
TEAM SPIRIT
We love to see that Team Spirit.  Be thinking of creative ways you can make your team stand out!  In past years we have had Team water bottles, visors, buttons, and posters.
